さてサンフランシスコです。
昼間は半袖でも時折暑い。NYから来たので尚更暑く感じる。
San Franciscooooooo!!
From freezing NY,
I felt bit hot even with t-shirt in day time.

こちらではイギリスの大学で一緒だったケーコちゃん家にお泊まり。
旦那のレイとニャンコのサシーちゃんもいるお宅にお邪魔しました。
I stayed at Keiko(met in Kingston Uni)
and her husband-Ray's flat in SF.
They've got a cat called Sassy!

着いた次の日、かわいいトラムに乗って
Next morning, got on a cute tram

アルカトラズ島ツアーへ出発。
船で１０分くらいのとこにある小さい島。
ここは昔、刑務所の島として有名だったとこ。
To Alcatraz by a ferry (10min).
This was a famous island as a jail.

アルカポネとか凶悪犯罪者とかが閉じ込められていた。
そんで、よく映画とかにもなってるけど
警備員や所長らの囚人たちへの暴行・虐待が問題だったとこ。
Al Capone and other brutal criminals were used to be here.
and famous that violence & abuse to the prisoners
of guard and directors was a problem.

その辺の詳しい内容は、あたしのお気に入り映画である
『告発』を見て勉強してみてちょ。ゲイリーが素晴らしいです。

全部が独房なんですね〜。Every rooms are individual cells.

中に入ったりもできる。You can go inside.

外にはかわいい古い消防車もあり。Old fire engine outside.

島から見たサンフランシスコの街。
早くあそこに戻りたいと、囚人たちは夢見てたのかねぇ。

The prisoners might have dreamed to go back there.

帰りはフィッシャーマンズ・ワーフから野生のオットセイを見学。
このあたり、くちゃいです。
Then we went to Fisherman's Wharf to see see-lions.
Bit stinky..

デッカい雄から小さな子供まで何百というオットセイが
四角い板にひしめき合う。
タマちゃんとか名前付けてらんねぇほど、いる。
Many many see-lions thronged on square boards.
Big male, small babies, all together.

なぜか人気の板とかあって、誰かが乗ると誰かが落ちる。
あんなデカい雄に踏まれて、絶対何匹か子供死ぬんだろうなぁ。
Some how there were a popular board.
Maybe some babies would die stepped by big one...

家に帰ると、どうやらサシー婆さんは俺のスーツケースがお気に入り。
どけようとすると反逆を食らう。肝が据わってるぜ、婆さん。
Old lady-Sassy loved my suit case.
She didn't let me touch my stuffs. Tough!

３日目はミッションへ。この辺はオサレな若者の町。
かーるちゃんお勧めのクレープ屋「Ti Couz」へ３人で行く。
俺はもちろんチョコ！　めっちゃうまかった。
Next day we went to Mission area
where lots of artistic, trendy & posh shops are.
Has chocolate crepes at "Ti Couz".
it was yummy yummy!
